On a Quest for Joy - Here is How to Start
There is an art of seeing things as they are: without naming, without being caught in a network of words, without thinking interfering with perception.

thinks they are not creative.
You have heard me talk a lot about soul
work, natural optimism and quest for joy. All of these lead to fulfilment in
life. For the absolute clarity: Fulfilment, success and happiness are all
synonyms - and their only true measure is inside you. No one else can define
that for us, my friend. Only we know.
It seems to me, and I am certainly no
exception to this, that we waste enough valuable time in life (when we are
young, we are a bit carefree with it – and that is acceptable for a young
person). Instead of looking for the answers within, which is an innate capacity
– we turn to vast number of sources outside us. While most of these will point
us back to ourselves, most of us will ignore these signs. Thankfully, once we
arrive at the conclusion that we have gathered quite a few insights – two
things happen – we see the benefit of the learning process (and if we are
honest with ourselves, we admit that trial and error could be a bit sharper and
shorter), and we are no longer willing to spend any of our precious time on
unimportant things.
But what if truly loving yourself was not a
thing you are familiar with, and quite the contrary – what if you have been
beating yourself up for big and small human errors you have inevitably made?
Well, look for one thing (even if you have to look deeper than you have ever
looked into your soul) – just find one thing that feels good about you. If you
can’t find it, look deeper. If you still can’t see it, then imagine a thing
that would make you feel good if you had it. When I say ‘thing’ I mean that special, quirky and unique thing you have, a
character trait, a gift, or a skill. Because, you actually do have it – you just simply haven’t let it surface yet.
Here is what I know for sure – from nearly
50 years of loving and observing people very closely and deeply: we are all
creative souls inside. I haven’t met or known anyone who isn’t, so you can just
drop that argument right now. We all have a creative seed, a gift inside
through which we best express our soul. Congratulations, you are an artist, my
friend! Whether you knew that or not, you really are. And you can express that
in any way you feel inspired to, through whatever moves your soul the most.
That is the part of you that feels most alive, I promise you.
If it feels difficult to let go of your
non-creative, false beliefs – feel for, search for what feels good and start
there. If you can’t paint or sing yet, admire the works of someone who has
moved you before. Allow your soul to lead you. Go gently with yourself. Give
yourself permission to try all those new and interesting things you never
thought you’d be able to do, but really appreciated others who did them. If it
is still difficult, that only means your soul is even gentler, and you have to
go even easier on yourself. Whatever pain and fear you’re holding close to you,
let it go. You can move forward without it. Allow your inner being to embrace
you from within. If every other thing feels too difficult, just start with
love. Allow it in, and allow it out – don’t try and hold on to it. Love is
there, always and unconditionally. You are loved to the core of your being.
Just let it in. And then, how easy it was to receive it – that’s how easy it is
to give it. To everyone.
See the magnitude and the significance of the gift you just received? If all else
fails and you ever feel lost again, just start with remembering that you have
already received the gift of pure love, and that the world is waiting for you to shine
that love back to it - in your own unique way.
Remember – You Are Safe Here
This is the sacred place between our souls. Thank you for sharing your visions, dreams and ideas. Your courage to be vulnerably seen will always be respected, and you will be treated with nothing but kindness and compassion. ♡
