No Time for Fear
This is my last message to you: in sorrow, seek happiness.
Fyodor Dostoevsky (from the novel Brothers Karamazov)
People who achieve the most are the ones
who put their whole heart and soul into everything they do. That achievement is
measured by the amount of joy they generate both around them and inside their
own being. And even though we are all here
on a quest for joy, vast majority will not dare to go deeper than the surface.
Most will choose to settle for less than they want, let alone for less than
they are capable to achieve. (I would appreciate if you remember that I am
talking about the core human values, which determine how successful we feel.
And our own feeling of success is the only measure, and the only real success
we have.)
The brave few who want to write on the
blank pages, rather than blindly follow someone else – those who are true to
their inner being, those who grasp the responsibility of their own happiness
with both hands, and have a smile and a kind word for everyone – they will feel
and know the ultimate satisfaction.
Being present and informed will lead us to
observing an array of images and messages during every day. But we would
struggle to pick even just one that is different in the sea of sameness. If you want to be original, you have to be
that! There is no way of following someone’s formula and being original at
the same time, even though that resembles few notes of personal(ity). Isn’t it
completely refreshing when you finally feel a cool breeze in the stale,
non-moving air?
It’s easy to be you, and no one else in
this world can have the same combination of energy, charm and wit – although
each one of us has the equal potential of being fabulously unrepeatable. Isn’t
it thrilling to be true to your gifts, to allow your inner being to shine
through you, to feel one with your soul? I know why we grew up to think that we
have to fit in to a certain category, label, description, role. But now we are informed
differently, now we have access to things that show us that the opposite is
required, and natural to us – at the same time. Yet, few are making that choice
to make a real difference, to be a real difference, and to inspire others to
embrace their own uniqueness.
The question really wants to be asked: Why?
It’s far more thrilling to dance with a
little bit of risk and not know the outcome in advance, than to hold hands with
same old-same old, day in and day out. Haven’t you heard? There is no safety
net! There is no place safe from death if your moment has come! That’s true for
every one of us, regardless of how old we are, how good looking, how
accomplished, how much we earn, where do we live, etc. Any one of us can die at
any time. And we will. That’s a given, but that’s not the point of life. I
absolutely believe it is the fear of death that is paralysing so many into not
fully living, not being present, not embracing life. Whatever the other excuse
may be, whatever mask you have put on it - that’s what is hidden behind it. You
only need to look at those who don’t have anything to lose to see how they
embrace living and each new day.
Don’t be afraid, my friend. You have this
marvellous opportunity of a fairytale, adventure, or any story you want it to
be. Don’t be afraid to love, don’t be afraid to speak love when you feel moved
by it from your own heart, don’t be afraid to go for it, don’t be afraid to
try, don’t be afraid to dream, don’t be afraid to let someone close to you,
don’t be afraid to fail, don’t be afraid to laugh. Just live, because death is
sure bet for all of us. But we don’t need to die before our day, though. If you
are alive in this moment, let yourself feel the pure joy of it – and truly
begin living. We don’t have time for anything else – just the important stuff
like sunsets, garden walks, and true love for everyone, including - and
starting with - you.
Remember – You Are Safe Here
This is the sacred place between our souls. Thank you for sharing your visions, dreams and ideas. Your courage to be vulnerably seen will always be respected, and you will be treated with nothing but kindness and compassion. ♡
