The Irony and the Brilliance

Here I am at 48 doing exactly what I absolutely knew I had to do when I was 18. That’s the irony and the great sense of humour I share with the universe inside me, through my inner being. In other words, it’s nothing but a sign telling me I am on my path, and I am grateful for daily confirmations of this. Of course, at 18 there was no way of knowing how I would go about it, just a strong sense that I would be travelling a road less travelled by, but I had no idea that would include areas of undiscovered, wild expanses and unseen depths of human soul.

And the brilliance is everything that unfolded in the last 30 years. How at every step I felt and knew I was in the right place at the right time – and I knew this through everything that I lived - in all wanted, just as in all uncomfortable, hard and painful times. I can attribute this to few factors, first and foremost to the incredible family I was brought up in – with pure love for all as a core value, and unquestionable support, and deep knowing of who I am, and only ever teaching by example. There is no doubt in my mind that the optimism I was born with (by the way, we are all born optimists), and the choice of assuming personal responsibility for my own happiness have kept me – well, happy – all my life!

Is there a surprise when I say that things are always working out for me? That’s the only way to live, my friend. Everything else is a pale imitation of life, excuse and the assuming of victim mentality (the one furthest from our nature).

The reason I am sharing this aspect of me today, in my first ever business post, is so that you get a view of the person talking to you – if you have never come in contact with me before. I am writing this in hope it will shed light on a path of another being who may be today, or tomorrow where I am in this moment (just as I have attracted and collected the most shining examples of human spirit as teachers– and I will be sharing them with you, one by one, if you stick around and read these posts).

I am documenting the story of success and the only fulfilment we all seek – heart full of pure joy – as a state of being. If it resonates with you, I am thrilled to have you here. If it doesn’t – I wish you well on your journey, and absolutely no hard feelings if we are not a match.

Every part of life that we live through, is preparing us for what’s coming next. If we remain switched on and tuned in to our inner being; if we become accustomed to listen – to our heart, but also to listen and observe the world around us, much like we did when we were children (remember how only that which was genuine could hold our attention for longer than two seconds) – we cannot get lost on our way. In sharing this, I hope to help you understand what it takes to be really successful at being happy artist entrepreneur. You don’t have to be an artist, but it helps to view the world as a beautiful place full of potential in all sorts of creative, uplifting ways.

The First Step is Presence

And this is presence in all dimensions. You have to be present in this moment, present in creation (oh, that goes without saying, I cannot imagine what is created from a place of disconnection), present in your art, and present for everyone the same way. Most people coming in touch with you will be just curious, but those who recognise both you and themselves in your art – are actually the collectors, the people who your art is meant to reach.

I will just repeat this once: there will be no apology offered for who I am and how I see the world as magical place, and life as a journey full of blessings, and all of us as having the same potential inside us. I come from a viewpoint, and genuine belief which has served me well (and proved right over and over again), that we all have an equal chance of living a happy, fulfilled life, my friend. Each person deserves that, but I am not sure if everyone is allowing themselves that. Yes, it takes courage to be open and vulnerably seen, and to free yourself from any walls you have put between you and other human beings – but, if anything is worth your time and effort – it’s being the best version of you that you have access to. Everything else will fall in place and you will grow each day. Your reward will always be your joy. And if you keep that as your motivation – the success must follow. It’s natural.

Bottom line, if you are not present, you are not seen. And if you are not seen, you are denying someone else the benefit of your experience and your gift – which blossoms, and multiplies, and grows exponentially only when you share it – much like happiness and love.

That is my raison d'être. In life as in art - and in business!

P.S.

I am building a community purely for collaboration among artists who are building a business and a brand around their art - to generate and share ideas and inspiration, to grow together our knowledge and business to a new level. Sounds like you? Watch the video below and join!

Remember – You Are Safe Here

This is the sacred place between our souls. Thank you for sharing your visions, dreams and ideas. Your courage to be vulnerably seen will always be respected, and you will be treated with nothing but kindness and compassion. ♡
