I hope you are reading this and smiling, my friend. The more attuned of you will have guessed from the title that this post is designed to remind you (us) to stay light, and do what fills your soul with love – and makes it easy to spread that love like sunshine from your heart to everyone else. I promise you, life is certainly going to reward you when you appreciate its sense of humour.

As someone who has always adored and been blessed (happy) and lucky to have the opportunity to interact with older (and a lot wiser) generations than myself – I have witnessed a clear connection between humour and happiness. When chosen consciously, and applied liberally, it has been known as cure to many unwanted things that pop up in life, from war and poverty, to illness.

Perhaps it was the personal experience that helped them preserve that ever so important perspective, for those older than us who had to grow up during the war, and in their youth had to participate in rebuilding families, towns, economy – were less likely to take life for granted than what I observed in my own generation. Nonetheless, of course this is a matter of personal choosing, as a point in life comes where the mindset has to expand, even in those who pride themselves on a steady and safe path of not rocking the boat, conforming and doing no more that is expected from them.

In fact, I would, with all the love inside me, say that resisting and stifling natural avalanche of curiosity, adventure and exploration of the unknown in every area of being – is not much of a living and it will backfire sooner or later. Luckily, it is something that can be overcome, and only when the person decides to live a conscious life, realising how much more fun and fulfilling their lives are when they give their all and create each new day in concert with the universe.

Life suddenly opens up to a million possibilities, just like when you sit to read a book for the very first time, or watch a movie, or hear a symphony. Isn’t it exciting to imagine in how many different ways it can open up into something truly inspiring? Whatever excites your soul the most, do more of that. Always wanted to try something new? Try it! What are you waiting for? And more importantly, stop doing that thing that stops you from going for it when you feel the impulse to follow your heart! Let go, my friend. You can’t control the outcome – it may work from the first, or fifth, or seventh go! Or you may find out that it’s not as exciting as you imagined. So you can move your focus to trying something else. 

Explore yourself. Get to know the vehicle that has the potential to create the happiest existence you can imagine. Yes, it’s inside you, always ready for you to reconnect with it – with the larger part of you! Universe wants you to be in charge with co-creating this uniquely fabulous journey – your journey. I say co-creating because universe, you, me, all of us are in this flow, in this dance, in this happy present moment – together.
