Art is Always a Good Idea

Art is Always a Good Idea

I have been and still am a seeker, but I have ceased to question stars and books; I have begun to listen to the teaching my blood whispers to me.

Whether we are enjoying it, or creating it – art as an ultimate expression of love – it always uplifts our soul. We are able to experience profound emotions and their quality is enhanced and finely tuned the closer we get to the process of creating.

In art we always stand shoulder to shoulder with our highest self. If you pinch yourself off from that flow of creative energy stream, which is the life-giving stream – you cannot create that easily, or most likely – you cannot create at all. But, when you allow your soul to be open, to receive the invitation to co-create – my goodness, what unfolds is the most beautiful process. Did you notice how your mind has no part to play in this? Your mind can just enjoy and take a break from whatever it has been giving you hell about lately….

The art, or creating – is the quickest way to quiet your mind and to feel the rest of your being come to life. It’s a meditation by its quality, it’s a prayer by its refinement, it’s a grace by its nature….

On that note:

Is it a bad time for a free art class?

Let’s do this, my friend. I am happy to organise it, and would be honoured if you joined me. Please let me know in the comments if we could plan a FB LIVE. In fact, let’s do this inside my free FB group called Art & Soul Society. You would need to request to join the group, and bring along any questions and any art forms that you may be interested to try, or already practice. And bring along any friend who might enjoy this date with creativity.

Shall we set the date as well?

Tuesday, 24 March 2020, at 7 pm – for one hour.

Please remember to join the group beforehand. This will be my first LIVE, so I will be grateful to do this in the safety of knowing who is there with me, and you can also interact safely with other creative friends.

Still About Tuesday

Also on Tuesday, I will be thrilled to bring you another guest post right here on Pure d’esprit blog, and introduce a fellow artist Adriana Donica. I will only write an opening statement, and then I will let Adriana tell you in her words about her art, her creative inspirations, and also her own 365 Days to Dream challenge, as she has joined us with her own project. I am really looking forward to it.

One more reminder to get in touch in the comments and by joining the FB group right now when you read this. Just click here, and let’s get connected and let’s get creative together. I look forward to welcoming you there as well.

* * * * The Update – 354 Days to Dream * * * *

1.
The drawing board is out, my friend! I am so happy. Truth be told, it was more difficult reaching the A3 drawing paper, but the equipment is all ready. By the time I am writing this, I havent yet started working on drawings, but its imminent. More photography and a special episode queued up for This is Your Moment podcast. Im keeping in touch with all the participants and together we are thinking of the best way they would like to share their challenges with intention of inspiring you to catch the wave of this incredible energy. More photographing for me – and a brighter day today, as well.

2.
Doing my project, setting the goal and starting the process has been a tremendous step in the right direction for me. And, it makes me even happier to exchange messages of support, energy and updates with everyone who is following and joining in. We know and feel the power of co-creating at its best. So far this is the best aspect of the challenge, being in it and doing our projects simultaneously.

3.

Next step: Working on this weeks goal of producing the scale drawing and then I can show you how I am planning of using the space and extending the living room. And yet more cataloguing. Just a word of warning: if you thought I was exaggerating, or joking, or making a statement when I said I had successfully squeezed the contents of a roomy four bedroom property into this tiny flat – I can tell you I wasnt. That is all true. And it still boggles my mind that I actually believe I will have time for all those creative projects inside those hundreds of tidy, organised boxes. I will keep you posted. And when I actually get inside the cupboards where most of those things are, I will share some photos just to help you imagine the volume of things I am going to be dealing with. I cant wait for it all. Actually so excited about it finally going up on that To Do One Day list.
