Returning
It takes courage.... to endure the sharp pains of self discovery rather than choose to take the dull pain of unconsciousness that would last the rest of our lives.

Journey through life is journey home, to everything that we already are, but may have forgotten along the way. With greatest love guiding us, joy spills out of our heart and lights up the path into what we call the unknown. Only, our soul feels happy it’s taking us home.
It’s safe to love. It’s safe to feel fresh breeze and rain and sunshine on our skin. It’s safe to breathe and be outside. It’s safe to love everyone with the same love. (Don’t divide love, you don’t have to. There is so much of it in your heart that you will never run out, it will grow as you grow.) It’s safe to get to know your soul. It’s safe to get inspired. It’s safe to sing (although if you’re not a nightingale, you might want to be considerate of others, but do sing to your heart’s content, my friend). It’s safe to dance and read. It’s safe to learn. It’s more than safe to grow into ever better version of yourself. It’s safe to laugh. It’s safe to laugh at yourself. It’s safe to dream and believe. It’s safe to have hope. It’s safe to be good. It’s safe to be OK with everything life brings our way. It’s safe to create and it’s safe to love. Everyone. Starting with the being inside the skin and mind you know.
It’s all a return home. Return to innocence. Journey home.
It’s safe to smile to everyone. It’s safe to be a friend, even to those who are walking away. Everyone is on a quest for their own joy. Wish them well on that journey. It’s safe to talk about life to people who are preparing to depart. It’s safe to be you always. No one will ever hold that against you. (Trying to be something else other than you – that’s not that desirable. Nor attractive. Nor possible long term.) It’s safe to give more than you have. It’s safe to hold yourself to a high standard. It’s safe to expect that from others. If you are kind – don’t settle for unkind of any kind. Run away, ignore, move on. It’s OK. It really isn’t your job, nor can you fix and heal other people. You can hold them with love. And treat them with love. That’s all.
Keep remembering; keep reminding yourself that all is well. There is no chaos, unless you invite it in. Universe is holding you safe from within. Trust that. It’s safe. Feel peace. Breathe and know that it is safe to sleep and relax.
This is the day to nurture and love yourself. Greet today with joy and gratitude for still being here. For reading this – as much as I appreciate the opportunity to write this to you. Just consider, you are already everything you ever wanted to be, just allow it into your experience. Return home to you.

I am so grateful for this project at this time in my life. I can’t stop talking to God and thanking for the opportunity to appreciate every moment, to be aware of every moment and to consciously be creating the dream. Yes, I have done this before, I made a house a home – for me and for so many others (if you are new around here, I am an interior designer by profession, my friend) – but it was always an exercise of creativity, putting together someone’s preferences and steering clear of those things they dislike, creating colour schemes and doing things by the book. It was enjoyable, pleasant, successful, but this feels so much deeper, so much more deliberate, so much more intentional. I am sure it is the presence in each moment, the mindfulness and the dive into the unknown with everything I got inside me. Trusting 100% in every instinct.

Having read the above paragraph, take a guess how I feel. It feels great to challenge yourself this way. It feels great to feel my family rallying behind me in support, to hear my kids discuss the plans with me and help me with measuring and discussing details. I have not starting removing walls yet. One thing at the time. One step at the time. First thing is first, the enormous volume of things has to be catalogued and offered for sale. I am doing this as part of the challenge, so I don’t have time to list this on eBay or Etsy – I have to improvise. See what I mean about challenging myself? I have learned to record and publish podcast, and will do a LIVE recording soon. Just gathering some experience first. That will be so much fun to do and record for you. I am eager to hear who else is on board with this energy and how is your challenge going, my friend. Do share with me, as I am more than happy to open all my platforms and share everyone’s wins, questions and dreams! We got this!

Tomorrow is the big start of the catalogue presentation on Instagram Stories. If you aren’t there yet, make sure to join along and follow @indigoandverdigris. Also, measurements are nearly taken, by the end of the week I should have done the plan to scale. By the way, I am not sure I mentioned it – yesterday’s deep dive into the inspiration file was a big eye opener as to how I see this space. I am leaning towards white, a lot of light, so that the books, furniture and art can take centre stage. Also, when I say white, I don’t actually mean pure brilliant white. Not for this project. I think it’s more going to be some light, pale colour instead. I will keep you posted, of course.
Remember – You Are Safe Here
This is the sacred place between our souls. Thank you for sharing your visions, dreams and ideas. Your courage to be vulnerably seen will always be respected, and you will be treated with nothing but kindness and compassion. ♡
