How To Get Most Out Of Movies
I love movies!
From the thrill of watching a breathtaking trailer to the highlights and flashbacks right at the end where the whole story masterfully comes together - I love every part of it so much.
Don’t you wish that celebrations of life were proportionate with movie timelines?
And why doesn’t the part that most accurately represents life - about 95% of it (that part about 2/3 into the movie with the really awesome soundtrack), last the longest?
Why does the part where most of life’s meaning is lost and found, in a movie - last only the duration of that (granted, awesome - but still short) song?
Because movies are entertainment but imagine if they were education. I don’t think that would be sexy or profitable, but it would be real and useful - for a change.
There is both immense beauty and unparalleled strength that is born inside us when we commit to creating a life dedicated to our true calling. But the road is narrow and treacherous. The possibility of getting lost and quitting altogether is greater than at any other point in life.
Could this be the reason many business and strategy coaches are profiting on focusing on the beginning of the business, the importance of having a vision and a strategy, but glossing over the part that takes the longest time to perfect? Could it be that the 60% of businesses that fail in the first three years because of this crucial part that remains vague in most of the business courses available?
Yes, it’s true. Without being crystal clear on your Why and your Who - you will fail without a fail. But even the vast majority of those who have this part figured out (to some degree, like enough to have a good idea, but couldn’t swear they got it completely right) - still do not cross the finish line. That is largely due to being unprepared for the level of commitment, understanding that you will need to hold yourself 100% accountable for everything, that you will need to keep yourself in the optimum physical, mental, emotional and above and through it all - spiritual - state of being throughout the entire process. This is not a sprint, my friend. It’s a marathon and you are only at the beginning.
I love working with people who have a vision but have not yet connected this with their calling and aligned with the true power within. It’s magical to see the transformation take place almost instantly, before my eyes. I can see it in them and I can feel and sense every part of their excitement. But connecting all these pieces, as important as it is, still does not guarantee success.
Yes, this is also true: success is absolutely guaranteed if you don’t give up. But your entire future rests on those six little words: ‘if you don’t give up’.
How do you ensure that you stay faithful to your mission however long it takes, and committed to doing whatever it will require you to do? How do you know that you will do absolutely whatever it takes, and nothing less?
First, let me tell you that you can! It does not require a special gift. It requires a gift that you are born with.
Second, although I love the first breakthrough part of this story where people’s eyes light up with the realisation that they are born to live their dream, I know that my calling in life, and my biggest passion, is to help you stay the course. I am your partner in that part of the movie that features the soundtrack of your life. I am here with you in every heartbeat. If you commit to yourself, I commit that I will teach you exactly how to stay aligned with your purpose through it all! Until we both see you walk into your dream, standing tall and with your head held high. But humble and grateful in heart, knowing that this work was not possible without the power of the creator of life present in both of us.
