Art as a Life Inspiration
When I write after dark the shades of evening scatter their purple through my prose.

Everywhere we turn, and everything we see
has the art at the core of it. If it wasn’t a creative hand that made it into a
part of our reality, then it is a creative mind that has constructed the
concept – that again serves us in our reality.
In this respect, every person, and every
part of our life is inseparable from the art world, from the creative action
itself. Observation alone causes inspiration, quite naturally. So does in depth
study of a subject, on any level. Vivid imagination is another vital part of
creation. Love, and all the tenderness it inspires inside a soul, both cause so
many ripple effects - and every single one is pure art. Caring also, and
particularly so, in all its many forms. Appreciation opens the heart to new
dimensions where words often cannot follow, but that does not mean that it
cannot be expressed by deeper and even clearer means. Grandmother’s cooking,
and mother’s lullaby, and sleepless nights we spent so excited and full of
energy, talking about meaning of life when we were growing up – each one of
those is a pure art.
See, my friend, art envelops, and pours out
of every life situation. Even how we deal with them is another form of art. How
we express ourselves, and hold ourselves together when the going gets tough,
how we inspire and help one another – they are all great examples of our inner
artist.
You’re Also an Artist
Soften your critique of your talents and
cease to view your gifts as small. Small compared to what? We have already said
that we can only compare ourselves today with how we were yesterday, but that
comparison never makes sense when we compare ourselves with another person.
They are living through their own unique set of circumstances and what drives
them may be completely different to us. Every comparison with another person is
designed do temper with our confidence and true self-awareness. However, anyone
who has done something worth your admiration can be your inspiration,
absolutely!
Take it from someone who didn’t shy away
from the call of inspiration, only when you immerse yourself in exploration,
when you dedicate yourself to learning and growing, when you are willing to
remain openhearted and share it with the world, when you accept that perfection
isn’t something you start with - can you perfect yourself during that process.
I call it art and I call it play, but it is really a full experience of being
alive – and if that isn’t perfection,
I don’t know what is.
Be Self-Taught, or Learn From the Best
The choice is yours alone as to how you
wish to explore your gifts and present them to the world. Both methods of
learning have value and will serve you during different parts of your journey.
Don’t obsess with the end result, because it is the creating that is your reward, while your creation is a
gift and may hold a whole lot of meaning for someone else. Don’t hold tight to
it. Yes, it is a part of your soul, but your soul grows by giving, sharing and
loving! Unleash this power from within and start the process you came into this
life to do. Keep pushing the boundaries and keep your heart open so that it can
receive and give pure love.
My Personal Favourite
I truly enjoy expressing the full extent of
the rapturous feeling inside my own heart, and that comes in many forms. My
favourite has certainly always been the painting. It has moved me the most to
view and enjoy and be drawn into the art of painting, until I felt compelled to
put together my own vision and its interpretation through my hands. I feel
myself truly being who I am, the most complete and the clearest, and being one with
the greater soul inside me - when I hold my paintbrush. And I am present in
that moment in my work, my soul literally singing with pure joy.
This feeling is not only evident in my art,
but it spills into everything else I do – because that is who I am. Art delights
the soul, my friend. So much more when you create it, rather than just consume
it.
In hope of inspiring a creative thinking
inside you, I am sharing below my latest work, and the process of its becoming.
Enjoy it!
