It always made me sad to see someone’s precious possessions discarded, when the reason for not wanting them is merely the question of a difference in taste and style, not the quality, not the usefulness, not the actual value (I’m about to call it what it really is) – just a lack of imagination - because everything, including the unwanted things, can be transformed into something amazing and desired.

I am of a persuasion that old things have soul and come to us with a meaning, if they were given to us, or inherited from someone who cared about us enough to give, or leave them to us. It’s easy to see their beauty even through dated layers of old varnish. Yes, I am talking about the furniture today, as my own brand Indigo & Verdigris started the foundation that coupled art and design with the worthwhile cause of saving the grace of these old, unwanted objects.
I felt so strongly about it from the multitude of angles and personal connection, and I felt inspired to make a stand and allow some of these pieces to make a stylish come back into our lives. Every piece in all of Indigo & Verdigris’ collections has a background story of how it came to be rescued from oblivion, all the way to being happily reunited with their new owners who appreciated them for every detail and brush stroke.

What’s truly humbling to me as an artist is that they have found home sometimes on a different continent, and they have travelled from me by boat, car, train and plane to the collectors. In style and the attention to detail, they are no different than my paintings. They also don’t require many words, as I think you will agree, these pictures say more than words can.

The star of today’s post is Gabriel – Touch of Glass. If you want to know all of his details, he invites you to visit the link to his personal page right here. And all I want to say at the end of this post is a humble thank you for being part of my journey, my friend.

Remember – You Are Safe Here

This is the sacred place between our souls. Thank you for sharing your visions, dreams and ideas. Your courage to be vulnerably seen will always be respected, and you will be treated with nothing but kindness and compassion. ♡

P.S.
One to pin and read later? You're welcome!
