3 Main Benefits of Living with Art

Whilst there are countless benefits from every form of art, I am of course going to focus on the wall art right here, and the special feelings it evokes in our soul when we surrender to it.

1 Positive Stimulation

We will start with the premise that you have a collection of art pieces that you love. If they are scattered around, or stored away, think of bringing them all together in one place. The information of how you got them, what attracted you in the first place, or who presented them to you will be stored forever in your memory. As you look at them, even if you are not thinking about it, your subconscious mind knows, and that deeper knowing creates the atmosphere of love inside your being. Whether you are aware of it, or not – feeling good is a positive stimulation that will spill into your present moment, into your day, every day. And it will extend further from you to everyone who you encounter that day.

Allow yourself to be surrounded by the art that is part of your life.

And if you don’t have access to original artwork, think of the more inexpensive ways and creative ways in which you can bring more art to your walls. Please don’t consider putting one picture in the middle of your wall, but have a think about places you like, colours you love – things you actually like – don’t be tempted by the cheap. It’s cheap for a reason. Spend time thinking about it and then source things that move you and inspire positive energy. The ripple effect of that positive energy spilling into your everyday life will be exquisite and evident to you. Also, it will make your home look stylish, which is a pure bonus.

2 Restorative

As much as it’s stimulating, art is also relaxing and restorative, and it can be healing, soothing and mood changing. This will depend on what you bring to it and how you show up for yourself. It will rest on your willingness to use what it has to offer, to be present and open to observe and allow yourself to draw deeper into your soul than you have been before. It’s absolutely like mediation, or at least a discipline of similar qualities, which directly benefits your state of being, and therefore your feelings. Try it. Bring a different, more present version of yourself and allow the art to guide you back to the real you.

3 Your Story

Everything you own tells a story of who you are. Why not accent this, curate it with purpose, create a meaning which will (at the same time as guiding you deeper inside you) be the evidence of you to others who see it, and admire it for all the beautiful reasons that hold meaning for you, whilst discovering a bit more about themselves simultaneously.

Living through our stories is a very powerful way of living life, and art is often the most outspoken and elaborate teller of our story. Use it to help you create the better version of you, the one you know you wish to become, the one you always wanted to be – and tie it together with who you are in this moment.

* * * * The Exclusive Update – 337 Days to Dream * * * *

1.
Another layer was added to the challenge today, as we move ever closer towards the goal. As I go deeper into my soul, I am discovering access to more wonderful things that I want to do and share with you, my friend. Learning is a multilayered process and it’s part observation, part deciphering, part implementation and part imagination, intuition. When you harmonise these elements, the beautiful process unfolds, whatever the subject. For me today, the subject was writing, as I am starting work a brand new project – whilst also keeping the home renovation project close to my heart and making sure I spend time contemplating ideas and beginning to put on paper the steps necessary to get there. Once I succeed in this, it will be a useful roadmap and a blueprint for someone to base their project on.

2.
The feeling of the day is appreciation. I appreciate everything that unfolded this day, and especially all the connections with dear friends who are working hard on their unique 365 Days to Dream challenges. That really fills my heart with both joy and gratitude for sharing this experience and keeping it real and open for everyone – showing up for myself and giving you space and platform to show up for you. If you missed yesterday’s podcast episode, please listen to it here. It was recorded with you in mind, as a gift of vision and inspiration. I know you will find it engaging and uplifting like the many of our friends who have sent me their comments. Once you hear it, let me know how the energy moved you and what do you now feel you want to accomplish in the next year for yourself?

3.
Not easy to predict what will be the predominant action plan for tomorrow, but the free art class is scheduled for this week as well. If there is still time to attend you will see the information on the top of this page in blue, but if you have missed it, then I will have removed the information, as it’s no longer relevant to you when you read this. However, the new project I am working on might be something that you will find useful, so stick around for a while and I promise you the insightful journey within. Not so much within me, but within you – as that is all that matters, my friend.

Remember – You Are Safe Here

This is the sacred place between our souls. Thank you for sharing your visions, dreams and ideas. Your courage to be vulnerably seen will always be respected, and you will be treated with nothing but kindness and compassion. ♡

P.S. One to pin and save for later? You're welcome!
