How to Write Your Own History

How To Write Your Own History

Around the time I was participating in one of the most vibrant art exhibitions in London’s Bayswater Road, my life was unfolding so fast, it took the effort to try and recall some of it for this story. The existence was an effortless manifestation of beauty, and the profound, life-altering changes. But it was all resistance-free and allowed, and welcome as life’s best spontaneous expression. Life was alive in every sense of the word.

Yet, what was the story that greeted me through most of my colleagues, most mature and established artists who had lived through many a change of season? They spoke about the days of much freedom and ease, fewer regulations, and more fun. It begs the question why do we keep expecting and accepting less and less and less than what makes us truly happy? Who determines our own measure of freedom if not our own consciousness? Who had we assigned the keeper of our satisfaction and joy? And the even bigger question: Why?

I understand that the place we observe in our present moment may look less desirable than where we wish to be. But, dear friend, it is the accurate representation of our expectation – without a fail, every single time. If you wish to be stuck in the loop of powerlessness (where you are choosing that exact outcome and feeling), then stop reading here. You go further at risk of finding out how to return to your joy (a quest you will continue to follow even if you stop reading, by the way). Still with me? Good for you!

News flash: it’s always a good sign that things are changing. There is nothing to fear or resist in changes. Happiness is the most natural and the most contagious state of being. Try it! So what if there are a restriction and a regulation that we could no longer have a party in the park and make an open fire? We could still tell stories and jokes, play music, and sing, we could still make friends and choose to feel good. Correct me if I am wrong (and I am not - but you are always more than welcome to suggest otherwise), but wasn’t the purpose of any gathering described above to connect with another soul and share the contents of our own consciousness?

It’s not the food and drink that makes us connected, but our courage and willingness to stay open to each other. If one change of rule changes our desire to be together, then we’re not on the same page. Point being, where there is a genuine will - there is always another, more creative way to make it happen in our experience. But if we throw in the towel and start whining how good old days have been better - not only are we going to be miserable now - but all the chance of future being bright are nonexistent!

So, where does that leave our favourite powerless victim mentality? Glad to say - it always loses this game. Your empowerment is always one tiny choice away, one key that is always in your hand!

The friendships I made during those eight years of attending the art exhibition every Sunday were phenomenal experiences, from setting up early in the day, to staying until it gets dark - every moment filled with joys of different seasons, conversations about art, life spirituality - a never-ending cycle of fun, joy, happiness that both inspired and followed from it.

The fact that I am coming back to the fine art scene with this latest collection of aquarelle paintings in the process of creation - reminded me that I will have to be creative once again when it comes to preserving the spirit of the friendliest imaginable art society. The best parts will have to be preserved in their evolved state - as the connection between the art, artists, collectors, and admirers. Together we make this colourful, real and perfect art community that has a sympathetic voice and a smart image, but a pure soul of a child.

I’m thinking of a grand opening the likes of which have never been seen before. Undeniably, this experience is visually important, but above that will be the realisation that you have never felt better, never more alive, never more part of something like you are part of this (as much as I am).

So, once again the history is written anew - and, as always - there can only be one hand holding the pen. Shall we?….

* * * * The Exclusive Update – 282 Days to Dream * * * *

1.
Just a couple of days short of two weeks - an absence that wasn’t planned, but as with everything in life, it was quickly understood and appreciated as the necessary, experiential learning and growing, expanding time. I have not stopped working on creating new paintings, moving forward with the house project (more about that in the coming days), and looking for the ways that are best resonant with my higher self in respect of life, art and business. They are all connected and all are part of my experience and the reason for my being here.

2.
I will just sum up the past ten days or so to tell you that I have been a witness to such transformational expansion of soul, that I cannot even recognise most parts of the old me. That is how much growth can happen in a very short time (using the linear time analogy for ease of communication, not for its accuracy in our actual life experience). Of course, as you receive my words, you might notice a slight (or, for some of you not so slight, but subtle nonetheless) deepening and clarity appear from within my words, but always look to understand from the point of your awareness, rather than the logical mind alone. The personal transformation for me feels like two completely different lifetimes. And the feeling is one of absolute resonance, calm, joy, excitement for each moment, not the future as much as now, and now, and right now….

3.
There is no way I will be easily able to predict where the inspiration will take me next because I am now completely resolved to follow the inner guidance, which sometimes indicates the steps I would have never seen or even imagined there a day, or even a second before they appear. It’s much more fulfilling to live a life from this point of awareness, alertness and openness. I am sure all will become clearer and clearer to you in the coming days, my friend. I am happy to be back and equally happy for the opportunity, by sharing my in the moment thoughts and experiences - to offer you to see your own reflection inside them. For that, for your attention and the chance to shine the light of infinite love on you - I remain forever grateful.
