There just isn’t any limit to your wonderful possibilities, my friend. It does require you to remain true to who you are, to remain open to the world, and to keep your own belief in your powerful connection and the backing of none other but the soul of the universe. And you are all set for the most wonderful life.

One such avenue has lead me to discover the most powerful creative streak inside me (the beginning of my story is here), the one through which I can express myself as the truest me that I see, know, live, love and comprehend. Which means I am closest to my inner being’s qualities when I exist through my art, and more specifically – through the creation process of that art. All the love inside my being is then able to pour out into the painting I am creating.

The Lighthouse

There are few subjects that resonate deeply with my person, and the lighthouse is definitely one of those. I love visiting them, looking at them, learning about their history and observing them from close proximity. The building structure is as fascinating to me as is their life saving role, and symbolism. (I have written about it here.) Some of the lighthouses that I have painted have been on continents and lands I have not yet visited, but my friends and family have and they have taken special photographs for me. Some of them have inspired my paintings, and I am mentioning it here, because this is one of them, from the time we took holiday photographs on reel film.

For those of you who want to start painting as a hobby (I highly recommend this – in fact I can’t recommend it enough: if you are thinking about it, please start now, you will enjoy it and love it so much) I want to share the process, so that you can see that it isn’t daunting if you look at it as a little journey, rather than have all your focus on the final destination and feel lost or think it’s outside your potential. Because, what your heart truly wants – that can be, if you just let it happen. In other words: don’t stand in your own way, my friend.

I’m deliberately keeping today’s post short and, I hope, sweet enough for you.
